FRANKLIN
Christeen F. (Bernard) Edens, 85, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, in Franklin.
She was born Feb. 12, 1931, to Reuben and Lula (Holt) Bernard in Liberty, Kentucky. She was a charter member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church of Franklin. She loved gospel music and was a past Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include five children, Gloria (Jerry) Locey of North Port, Florida, Janet (Ed) Edens of Frankfort, Rita (David) Summers of Indianapolis, Eddie (Jessica) Edens and Letha (Robert) Wolfarth, both of Franklin; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edens, and a daughter, Joan Wilborn.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 1349 N. Graham Road, Franklin, with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
