GREENWOOD
Diane Y. Coward, 49, Greenwood, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 12, 2016.
Born March 8, 1966, in Washington, D.C., she attended Northwood High School in Wheaton, Maryland, she was selected as a player on the Maryland State Select Travel Soccer Team. Diane was a natural athlete, she coached soccer and enjoyed softball and basketball.
She co-owned Partners Printing/Think Solutions with her husband since 1998.
She enjoyed hosting and arranging social activities, with one of her greatest joys being her son, Tyler and his accomplishments.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Robert “Bob” Coward; son, Tyler W.S. Coward; mother, Dorothy Pote,and her husband Robert; sister, Jean Marie Byars; and step-siblings, Cliffton Byars, Lori Byars and Pamela McEvily.
She was a beloved aunt and special mother of many furry friends.
She was preceded in death by her fathers, Auni Qubein and William C. Byars.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. The funeral service will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Johnson County.
