Paul E. Bryant

FRANKLIN

Paul E. Bryant, 88, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at the home of his daughter in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

Paul was born on Jan. 1, 1928, in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, to Thelma Aline (Mason) and James E. Bryant.

He married Ruth “Joann” (Grose) on Jan. 25, 1954. She survives.

Paul is also survived by their children, Paula Joann Key of Greenwood, Pamela Kay (Burke) Admire and Patricia Lynn Ellen “Tricia” (Tim) Wilson, and Philip H.A. “Phil” (Jean) Bryant, all of Franklin; grandchildren, Ben (Amanda) Reed, Racheal (Mark) Rick, Ellen (Glen) Prince, Sarah (Dustin) Cromer, Alex (Veronica) Admire, Nicholas (Danyel) Bryant, Carrie Joann Admire and Melissa Marie Bryant; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Paul was a graduate of Delray High School at Delray Beach, Florida and attended Indiana University where he majored in computer science.

He was active in Scouts with his children.

Paul served 21 years in the U.S. Army and was in World War II and the Korean War.

After his service in the U.S. Army, he was employed by Honeywell and worked in the computer division, retiring in 1986. He and his wife traveled by RV around the United States, finally settling in Fulton, Texas.

They moved back to Franklin in 2007 to be near their family.

He enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held at the Camp Atterbury Chapel with Military Honors.
