Two Franciscan St. Francis specialty care physicians will be honored with the 2015 Distinguished Service Award by the Franciscan St. Francis Health medical group.
Dr. E. Michael Keating is a retired orthopedic surgeon from the Center for Hip & Knee Surgery and Joint Replacement Surgeons, a practice of Franciscan Physician Network. The second honoree, Dr. David C. Pound is a gastroenterologist with Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology Inc.
Keating retired from practice in 2015 after practicing in Mooresville for more than 25 years. He attended medical school and completed his residency training at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. He later served as assistant professor of orthopedics at LSU.
A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Keating has served as chairman of the program committee for The Knee Society.

Pound continues with an active practice in the Indianapolis area. He attended medical school and completed his residency and fellowship training at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he currently holds an academic appointment. He also serves as president of the Indianapolis Gastroenterology Research Foundation and is a board member of Franciscan Alliance in Central Indiana.
Keating and Pound will be honored with a celebration on Jan. 30 at the Regions Tower in downtown Indianapolis.
A new ATM machine has been installed in the entryway of Mutual Savings Bank’s headquarters at 80 E. Jefferson St. in downtown Franklin. The ATM has been in service since early December.
The ATM’s location allows users to get out of adverse weather to do banking transactions. The location is also well-lit and visible from the street.
Founded in 1890, Mutual Savings Bank is a full-service financial institution with over $121 million in assets. In addition to its main office in Franklin, the bank operates branches in Franklin, Nineveh and Trafalgar.
Ruoff Home Mortgage announced that Donnie Dodson was the top overall loan originator for the entire company for the month of December. The top spot in each branch office, as well as the company, is based on the number of closed loans during the month, as compared to their fellow peers.
Dodson has been with Ruoff Home Mortgage since May. He has won the top spot in the Greenwood branch for several months.
