Franklin College men lose at Hanover, 75-66

HANOVER

The Franklin College men’s basketball team had three players score in double figures in a 75-66 road loss to Hanover College on Wednesday.

Junior John Beineke led the offensive attack with 17 points. Junior Aaron Mann added 16 points, while senior Trae Washington scored 14 points.

Hanover closed the first half on an 8-0 run to take a 36-27 advantage. Franklin (1-15, 1-8 in the conference) opened the second half on an 11-2 run to square the contest 38-38.

The Panthers took a 53-46 lead on a basket by Cameron Fails midway through the second half. The visitors only could get as close as eight points on two occasions down the stretch.

Franklin returns to action at 2 p.m. Saturday when it travels to Bluffton University.
