A Greenwood woman fell victim to a phone scam last week, police said.
The woman received a call on Jan. 12, from a person who was claiming to be from Microsoft, according to the police report.
For $99, the caller told the woman they could run a diagnostics check and clean her computer, according to the report.
The woman gave the caller her credit card information, according to the report.
After receiving the calls, the woman notified her bank and reported the incident to police, providing the phone numbers the caller contacted her from, according to the report.
