A Greenwood man has been charged with child molesting after police said he engaged in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl.
Mason Hertz, 22, 1072 Cherry Lane, was charged with two counts of child molesting and three counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors. He was arrested last week.
Hertz told investigators he picked the girl up and the two engaged in sexual acts in his car on two occasions. He also took pictures of the girl and recorded video of the two engaging in sexual activity, according to the probable cause affidavit.
When investigators asked Hertz if he knew how old the girl was, he told them he initially thought she was 15 but later found out she was 13, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Hertz is being held at the Johnson County jail on $86,000 bond.
