Harry L. Kidwell

CROSSVILLE, Tenn.

Harry L. Kidwell, 85, of Crossville, Tennessee, formerly of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, unexpectedly while visiting family in Westerville, Ohio.

He was born Dec. 25, 1930, to Arthur and Goldie Kidwell in Indianapolis.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Constance E. Nitsch.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillian Eileen Kidwell; and children, Sherry Hensley (Tom), Linda Daffin (Mike), Harry Kidwell II and Ryan Kidwell (Carey); along with 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by siblings, June Snyder, Robert Kidwell Vivian Peters and Patricia Walls, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Harry graduated from Center Grove High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Air Force obtaining a rank of staff sergeant.

He spent most of his career as a building materials salesman in the Indianapolis area.

Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, with funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Greenwood.

Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society in Harry’s name, in care of the funeral home.
