GREENWOOD
James “Jim” Richard Shoemaker, 54, of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016.
He was born June 7, 1961 in Indianapolis to Raymond Shoemaker Sr. and Helen (Ludwig) Shoemaker. Jim enjoyed fishing, sports, and spending time with family and friends at the lake.
He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Jim was a 1980 Perry Meridian graduate, and he was a Xerox employee for 25 years.
Survivors include his mother, Helen (Ludwig) Shoemaker; father, Raymond Shoemaker Sr; brother, Ray (Jenny) Shoemaker, Jr; sister, Andrea (Frank) Bianchi; nieces and nephews, Brittany Shoemaker (fiance, Garrett Brink), Morgan (Collin) Rush, Grace and Dominic Bianchi.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunt and an uncle.
A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 South State Road 135 at Olive Branch Road, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Fridayat the funeral home.
