Michael J. Moran, 68, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016.
He was born Jan. 5, 1948, in Indianapolis to the late Lee and Elizabeth (Cantwell) Moran.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1973 and was a Vietnam veteran.
Mike married Jamie (Roe) Moran on July 4, 1975, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Jimmy Moran, Roger (Brenda) Moran, Scott (Candy) Moran; siblings Pat Moran, MaryAnn Asbury, Lee Joe (Marydel) Moran, Ginny Cobb, Barbara (Darryl) Eastridge and Jerry (Sherri) Moran; sister-in-law Martie Moran; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and pet companions Little Bit, Shadow, Rocky and Lucy.
Mike was also preceded in death by sister Rita Marsischky and brother Dennis Moran.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Simplicity Funeral Care, 7520 Madison Ave., Indianapolis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
