Beverly Jeanne Kichler Nixon

NEW WHITELAND

Beverly Jeanne Kichler Nixon, 83, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 6, 2016, in Franklin. She was a resident of New Whiteland.

She was born Jan. 28, 1932, in Beech Grove, to Roy McClelland and Gertrude (Hardin) Snyder.

She married Kenneth N. Nixon on June 23, 1984. He survives.

Beverly is also survived by two daughters, Sharon (Jack) Cruse of Beech Grove and Jennifer (Aaron) Perkins of Vida, Oregon, one son, Roi Kichler of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Kari McIntosh, Bryson Cruse, Joan Haggard and Whitney Haggard; five great-grandchildren, Brennan, Collin and Austin McIntosh, Abbie Hardy and Asher Sharpe. Also surviving is one brother, Donald (Evelyn) Snyder, and one sister, Maxine Hansen.

She was preceded in passing by her son, Stanley Kichler.

She attended school in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Beverly was a homemaker.

She was a member of Union Village, Order of Eastern Star No. 584.

She enjoyed camping in the summers and spending winters in Florida.

A celebration of Beverly’s life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Visitation for family and friends will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Glenns Valley.
