FRANKLIN
Wallace Westley West, known as Wally, 88, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin for many years.
He was born on April 1, 1927, in Chicago, to Fredrerick L . West and Florence (Morton) West.
He married Louise Maciejack, from North Judson. She preceded him in passing in 2005.
Survivors include his brother, Gary West, who resides Sequim, Washington, and sister, Sally (West) Dolezal, who resides in Cape Coral, Florida.
Wally retired from the Indiana State Highway Department.
He was active as a volunteer fireman while residing in North Judson. He also was a Mason and served in the U.S. Army.
Wally enjoyed being mechanically inclined and was creative through his woodworking and helping others with various projects.
He will be laid to rest with his wife, Louise, in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135.
