Randall Lee ‘Randy’ McGaha

FRANKLIN

Randall Lee “Randy” McGaha, 57, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.

He was born Dec. 6, 1958, in Franklin to Roy and Lula J. (Burton) McGaha.

He married Jacqueline L. “Jackie” (Whited) McGaha on Dec. 12, 1981, at Franklin Separate Baptist Church; she survives.

He was a 1978 graduate of Edinburgh High School, where he played basketball.

He was a member of Franklin Separate Baptist Church and attended Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church.

He loved watching NASCAR and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.

Randy had been a burial vault serviceman for the Wilbert Burial Vault Co. in Indianapolis for 27 years.  Randy was compassionate and committed to the families he served over the years. He and his family also were the caretakers of the Nineveh Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline L. “Jackie” (Whited) McGaha of Franklin; two sons, Kevin L. McGaha and Bryan McGaha, both of Franklin; his parents, Roy and Lula J. (Burton) McGaha of Franklin; four sisters, Marcia Whited (Garnet) of Greenwood, Shelia Doyle and Vickie Sinclair (David), both of Franklin, Loretta Ridpath (Troy) of Edinburgh; a brother, Richard McGaha (April) of Edinburgh; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Revs. Mark Polston and Guy Hardin will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 S. Main St., Edinburgh. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
