$2,000 scholarships available to students

Johnson County REMC is offering two $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors planning to attend an Indiana college or university. To be eligible, a student’s parent or guardian must be REMC members.

Applications are available from high school guidance counselors; at the REMC office, 750 International Drive, Franklin; and on the utility’s website, jcremc.com.

Application deadline is Jan. 29.

STEM scholarship available

Local college students may be able to apply for a STEM related scholarship.

Endress+Hauser is conducting a “Sustaining Scholars” program for a scholarship.

Eligible students must be studying in a STEM related field at Purdue University or Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology or be enrolled in a degree program at Ivy Tech.

Students must also be graduates of a public high school in Johnson County and the southside.

Applications are available at jccf.org/apply-for-a-scholarship.

Credit union offering scholarships

Members of Crane Credit Union can apply for a scholarship.

The credit union is giving 11 $1,000 scholarships to members.

Applicants must be the primary member on Crane account, have plans to enroll full time in secondary education in fall 2016 and have a minimum grade point average of 2.0.

Applications will be available beginning Jan. 15 at all branches and at cranecu.org. The deadline is March 1. 

The credit union has a branch in Franklin and a branch at Camp Atterbury.
