Gloria Dawn Anderson

Gloria Dawn (Galligar) Anderson, 70, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood.

Gloria was born April 28, 1945, in Decatur, Illinois, to George Frederick and Ellen Lydia (Burns) Galligar.

She married William A. Anderson on June 2, 1985; they were married for 30 years.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, shopping and working on the computer and was a collector of many things.

She was a member of the Better Breathers Club.

She also enjoyed the sermons at Grace Assembly of God.

She loved spending time with her family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, William “Andy” Anderson of Boggstown; two daughters, Tina (Larry) Phelps of New Whiteland and Sherri (Steven) Preston of Greenwood; son, David (Lisa) Young of Whiteland; brother, Jerry (Patricia) Galligar of Illinois; grandchildren, Corey (Ashley) Coykendall, Curtis Phelps, Alan (Myla) Ramsey, Aaron (Caitlyn) Ramsey, Leesa Preston, Amy Preston, Taylor Preston, Lil’ Dave Young and Jacob Young; great-grandchildren, Addie, Liam, Emilia, Ana and Ansley; and nieces and nephews, Bonnie Horton, Kerry Kojs, Kathleen Christensen, Michael Galligar and Patrick Galligar.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen Galligar; and father, George Frederick Galligar.

A memorial gathering will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Service are private.
