The Franklin College women’s basketball team saw its six-game winning streak end in a 62-49 road loss at Elmhurst College on Saturday.
Senior Katie Brewer recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Kayle Comer added 11 points. Junior Emily Alfrey rounded out the scoring attack with eight points.
Elmhurst (6-4) was led by Mikaela Eppard with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Lisa Logan scored 11 points in the victory.
Elmhurst led 15-8 after the first quarter and never trailed in the game. The Grizzlies held the Bluejays to 2-of-15 shooting from behind the arc.
Franklin stands 6-2 on the season and concludes its non-conference schedule when it competes at the Dec. 28-29 DePauw University Tournament.
