Grace Assembly of God, 6822 U.S. 31 North, New Whiteland, will offer its annual Christmas musical extravaganza this weekend.

The church’s annual Singing Christmas Tree Spectacular features a 30-foot Christmas tree, thousands of lights, indoor snow, multimedia wall, Christmas parade, ice skaters and great Christmas music.

The free performances will take place at 7 p.m. today and 6 p.m. Sunday.

People are encouraged to arrive early to ensure seating. Doors open at 6 p.m. Child care is provided for children 5 and younger.

Christ Our Shepherd, Church of the Brethren, 857 N. State Road 135, Greenwood, will host a veterans welcome home program and chili cookoff Sunday. 

The free dinner and program is for all military, reservist, veterans, surviving spouses and family members. It will start at 5 p.m.

Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin, will present the Christmas cantata “What Child Is This?” on Dec. 19 and 20 at all three services.

The cantata is by Joel Raney and includes the music of the Advent and Christmas seasons.

The cantata will be performed at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and at 9 and 11 a.m. Dec. 20.

Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin, will offer its annual free Christmas dinner on Dec. 25.

Delivery meals will be available 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Carryout will be available from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Diners can eat at the church between 5 and 6:30 p.m.
