The owner of a Greenwood scooter store chased after a thief, whom police are now searching for.
At 10 a.m. Wednesday, the owner of Only Way to Go Scooters, 1285 N. State Road 135, saw someone steal a scooter from the parking lot, according to the police report.
The thief headed east on County Line Road, the store owner chased after him, and a witness called police, the report said.
He did not catch the thief but gave police information about the scooter and a description of the man. He said the keys had been in the ignition of the scooter, the report said.
Police searched nearby neighborhoods but did not find the scooter, the report said.
