Amid the holiday preparations, a great way to take a break this month is to take a mini retreat to a local winery, listen to some good live music and enjoy some local wine.
You can do that at Mallow Run Winery’s holiday open house weekends Saturday and Sunday and Dec. 19 and 20. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. each day.
Visitors can relax in the tasting room or enclosed patio to enjoy music, food and wine.
Musical guests are Harp with Abigail Acosta from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Voices from noon to 2 p.m., Celtica from 2 to 4 p.m. and Castlewood Singers from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Music for Dec. 19 will be Orkestra Projekt from 2 to 5 p.m. On Dec. 20, Harp with Abigail Acosta will play from 2 to 5 p.m.
