Good Cheer Fund tops $1,000 mark

The Good Cheer Fund donation drive is underway, and monetary gifts so far total $1,177.

The Good Cheer Fund is a Johnson County holiday tradition providing 800 baskets of fresh and nonperishable food to needy families at Christmas. In 2014, the community donated more than $29,000.

People can make monetary contributions to the fund until the end of December. Donations can be mailed to the Daily Journal, P.O. Box 699, Franklin, IN 46131, or dropped off at the Daily Journal at 30 S. Water St., Second floor, Suite A, in Franklin.
