Dolores Ann ‘Dody’ Elias

Dolores Ann “Dody” Elias, 82, Greenwood, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2015.

She was born in Indianapolis on Feb. 3, 1933, to Robert A. and Gladys Irene Koger Ash.

Dolores was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

She worked for many years at NAB Trucking and McCormick & Associates. Dolores was an avid Indiana Pacers fan, attending more than a thousand games as a season-ticket holder.

She and her husband, Tom, were members of St. Barnabas Catholic Church for more than 40 years.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Carolyn “Sue” Palmer. 

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Elias; children, Bob Elias (Diana Goins), Jim Elias (Elizabeth), Katie Cordell (John) and Karen Szczepanski (Adam); grandchildren, Stephany Kiefer, Danielle Elias, Anthony Elias, Jack Szczepanski, Charles Szczepanski, Daniel Szczepanski, Nicholas Elias, Mary Elias and Andy Cordell; and great-grandchildren, Sydalee Elias and Zane Kiefer.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road in Indianapolis. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., Indianapolis, where morning prayers will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
