Restore Old Town Greenwood Inc. recently announced that it was granted nonprofit tax status.
As part of its new 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service, any donations the group receives from businesses and individuals will be tax deductible.
The volunteer organization was formed in 2011 to maintain the commercial and residential area in Old Town Greenwood.
