Recycling district sets shred, disposal event

Johnson County residents can shred documents, recycle electronics and dispose of household chemicals Saturday.

Electronics and documents can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to noon at the county’s recycling district offices, 900 Arvin Road, Suite A, Franklin.

All other electronics will be recycled for free.

On the same day, the Johnson County Tox Box will be open from 9 a.m. to noon at 1051 Hospital Road, Franklin. No latex paint or alkaline batteries will be accepted.

This event is for Johnson County residents only.

The Tox Box will be closed from Nov. 30 to Jan. 31. It will reopen Feb. 1 weather permitting.
