Outlook: Trojans are in the semistate for the fifth straight year and for the seventh time in the past eight years. They are bidding for their first semistate title since 2008, the same year they went on to win the state championship.

Avon is making its sixth semistate appearance and is bidding for its first-ever title. Coming off a thrilling regional win against Cathedral, Avon enters on a nine-game winning streak.

Outlook: Coming off its 18th sectional championship in team history, Roncalli now looks to pick up what would be its 13th regional title — the most recent being in 2005.

The Rebels enter Friday’s contest riding a six-game winning streak.

Delta, which is coming off its eighth sectional championship, is bidding for what would be its fourth regional crown and first since 2001. The Eagles are on a three-game winning streak.
