GREENWOOD
Donald E. Herald, 81, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, surrounded by his family at his residence in Greenwood.
Born April 10, 1934, in Indianapolis, he was one of seven sons of the late Jessie and Lorraine Herald.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he retired from Colonial Bakery and enjoyed woodworking, stained glass and his Honda Goldwing.
Survivors include his childhood sweetheart and wife of 59 years, Glenda; two daughters, Tammy (Mitch) Jacobs and Joy (Dale) Rogers; two granddaughters, Sarah and Amanda; and brothers, David, Michael, William and Dennis Herald.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens at Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135. Memorial visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
