William Earl ‘Bill’ Brandon

FRANKLIN

William Earl “Bill” Brandon, 70, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at Franklin Meadows Nursing Home in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born on July 20, 1945, in Frankfort, to James and Zona (Harshman) Brandon.

He married Lou Ann Drake. She preceded him in passing Sept. 1, 2015.

Survivors include his children, Bridgette Anne (Scott) McNeal of Atlanta, Matt (April) Brandon of Franklin and Peter William Brandon of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Hunter Owens, Madison Brandon, Samantha Brandon, Louis McNeal, Charlie McNeal, Miles McNeal and Julia McNeal; and a sister, Joyce Riner.

He was preceded in passing by his wife and an infant daughter.

Bill was a graduate of Lebanon High School, class of 1964. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University.

He was an elementary school teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools for 25 years. He was also an IHSAA referee for both basketball and football.

Bill loved watching his children;s and grandchildren’s activities. He also enjoyed reading.

Rev. Walter Howard will conduct a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Victory Christian Church, 1720 Graham Road, Franklin. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service time Monday at the church.

Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin, is handling arrangements.
