MARTINSVILLE
Hubert R. Brock, 69, went home to be with Jesus and to reunite with his mother on Wednesday evening, Oct. 21, 2015, at his residence in Martinsville.
He was born in Columbus on April 25, 1946, to his parents, the late Hobart Agwert “Ag” and Lillie Mae (Seal-Bunch) Brock.
Hubert married Beverly A. (Dunn) Brock on June 13, 1965, at Spearsville Wesleyan Church in Brown County. She lovingly survives after 50 years of marriage.
Hubert also is survived by his children, Hugh Richard (Laurie) Brock of Lewisville, and Douglas Brock, Dwight (Barb) Brock, Colby Brock and April Brock-Burdick, all of Martinsville; siblings, Inez “Sis” (Buck) Walters of Trafalgar, LaVerne (Ron) Mayes, Roger (Tammy) Brock, Fred (Karen) Brock, Ronald Brock and Troy (Karen Cody) Brock, all of Brown County, Herbert Brock of Gosport and Lillie Mae Perry of Morgantown; grandchildren, Ashley-Renee, Jeremiah, Katelyn, Elijah, Savannah, Autumn, Mackenzie, Dakota, Larry, Madison, Joshua and Kimberly; and great-grandchildren, Eithan, Brendyn, Alaina, Rlyeigh and Eleanor.
He also is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three infant siblings.
Hubert was a member of the Spearsville Wesleyan Church. He was known as a “wheeler and dealer” and for his exceptional welding skills, which he enjoyed teaching to anyone who wanted to learn. He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Family and friends are welcome to come to a visitation from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown.
