Ola (Dick) Doty, 91, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Bargersville.
She was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Science Hill, Kentucky, to Silas William and Mary Grace (Warren) Dick.
She married Chelsie Doty, who preceded her in passing.
Ola is survived by her children, Lloyd Dick, Floyd (Edye) Dick, Carol (Donna) Dick, Bernita (Ronnie) Mitchell, Kathy (Jim) Etter and Penny (Sam) Cramer; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.Â
She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Chelsie; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Dick; and many siblings.
Ola was employed by Bargersville Utilities for several years.
She was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church and Bargersville Senior Citizen Center.
The Rev. Stan Icenogle will conduct a celebration of Ola’s life at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bargersville Senior Citizen Center, 14 W. Old South St., Bargersville, IN 46106.
