Nelson Courtney “Bud” Eaton, Jr.

Nelson Courtney “Bud” Eaton, Jr., 71, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born Sept. 15, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri to Nelson Courtney Eaton, Sr. and Paula (Roth) Eaton. He married Lynda (Lanzet) Eaton on Oct. 2, 1965. They celebrated 50 years of marriage.

He is survived by one son, Nelson Courtney “Skip” (Barb) Eaton, III of Martinsville; two grandchildren, Parker and Gus and one brother, David (Susan) Eaton of St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in passing by his parents.

Bud graduate from high school in Missouri and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. He received his MBA from Indiana Central College, now University of Indianapolis.

He was employed by Arvin Industries as an industrial engineer.

Bud was a member of the Amity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and trustee. He was a member of the Duval Masonic Lodge at the Indiana Masonic Home.

A celebration of Bud’s life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. A private family burial will be Wednesday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
