Walmart, 2125 N. Morton St.: A loss prevention officer reported at 3:33 p.m. Tuesday that a man attempted to steal more than $200 in merchandise.

Theft

First block of Julia Street: A woman reported at 11:51 a.m. that a computer tablet was missing from her home.

Thefts

Pearl and Meridian streets: An employee reported at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday that tools were stolen from a construction site.

900 block of Commerce Parkway West: A man reported at 10:01 a.m. Wednesday that someone broke into his vehicle.

Walmart, 1133 N. Emerson Ave: A loss prevention officer reported at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday that a man scanned lower priced items in place of what he was buying at the self scanner.

3100 block of Meridian Parke Drive: Police responded at 7:38 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a stolen license plate.

Shoplifting

Kohls, 550 Fry Road: Police responded at 7:56 a.m. Wednesday to a report of shoplifting. A woman was arrested and released with a summons to appear in court.

Von Maur, 1251 U.S. 31 North: Police responded at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday to a report of shoplifting. A juvenile was arrested.

Personal-injury accident

3:51 p.m. Tuesday — County Line Road and Hardegan Street: Jordan Gerke, 32, Greenwood, and William Ehrgott, 56, Greenwood. Passenger Brandy K. Waddle, 40, Greenwood, reported neck pain.

Theft

4400 block of West County Line Road: A man reported at 9:19 a.m. Wednesday that someone stole copper wire from a cellphone tower.

Burglary

2000 block of Indian Creek Road, Trafalgar: A man reported at 4:09 p.m. Wednesday that someone entered his garage and stole golf clubs.

Fraud

200 block of East County Road 375S: A woman reported at 9:47 a.m. Wednesday that she got a call from someone purporting to be from the IRS.

Personal-injury accident

4:21 p.m. Wednesday — State Road 37 and Bluff Acres Road: Debora Shepherd, 49, Ellettsville; and Michael Kennedy, 28, Martinsville. Shepherd reported pain.
