GREENWOOD
Carolyn E. (Bishop) Nelms, 76, passed away Thursday Oct. 8, 2015 in Greenwood. She was a resident of Greenwood.
Carolyn was born Nov. 4, 1938, in Catlin, Illinois, to Benjamin and Ruth M. (Carson) Bishop.
She was employed with Frito-Lay as a quality control inspector for 28 years, retiring in 1983.
Carolyn enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Michael “Mick” Nelms of Greenwood; two children, Donnie Lucas of Indianapolis and Ronnie Lucas of New Palestine; two stepchildren, Andy Nelms of Greenwood and Lisa Bragg of Ohio; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tammy Jo Lucas Kriech; and three sisters, Peggy Gillan, Patty Marco and Jessie Lucas.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
