Bargersville effort for Founders Fountain underway

Bargersville residents, organizations and businesses are invited to support an effort to honor town founders and military veterans.

Organizers are selling engraved brick pavers to help pay for its Founders Fountain, a downtown water feature that is planned for construction in 2016. The pavers will be installed around the fountain.

People have various options for the bricks. A 4-inch-by-8-inch brick costs $50, and includes two lines of characters. An 8-inch-by-8-inch brick costs $125, and includes four lines of characters.

A small 3-inch-by-3-inch souvenir brick, which will not be included in the walkway, can be bought for $25.

Organizers are hoping to raise $30,000 for the construction of and maintenance of the fountain. So far, they are about 30 percent of the way to their goal.
