Bank president speaks at national poverty conference

The president and chief executive officer of Martinsville-based Home Bank was a speaker at a national conference on poverty this week.

Dan Moore spoke at the aha! Process’s annual “Addressing the Challenges of Poverty” conference, which took place in Cincinnati.

The conference brings together local and national groups to explore best practices to alleviate poverty.

Moore presented a session at the conference titled “Community Banks Can Help End Poverty.” Topics in the talk included how community bankers are able to bring resources to underprivileged populations in various ways.
