Zackery Joshua Groover

Zackery Joshua Groover, 24, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, resulting from a motorcycle accident on Labor Day.

Zackery enjoyed being with his brothers. He loved spending time with family and friends. Zackery loved riding motorcycles and working on cars. He enjoyed camping, fishing and shooting guns.

He was born Nov. 26, 1990, in Columbus. He was a 2009 graduate of Franklin Community High School. He also attended Brown County High School.

Zackery is survived by parents, Douglas (Joyce) Groover and Angela (Amy Ritchhart) Groover; two brothers, Skyler Tincher and Preston Groover; stepbrother, Jason Cross; stepsister, Jessica Yocum; two special friends, Coty Thomas and Krista Johnson; grandmother, Jewel Sims; grandfather, Murvelle Groover; several nephews and nieces; uncle, Jeff (Sheryl) Hudson; aunts, Michelle (Ted) Funk, Nancy (Jeff) Collins and Kim (Bob) Chance; and cousins, Derrick and Nika Hudson, Megan Hudson, Rachelle Thomas, Christian and Victoria Coombs, Annette Henderson, Bryce and Geoffrey Shaneyfelt and Miranda Jones.

A celebration of Zackery’s life will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
