Local nonprofit agencies received $36,000 during an annual golf outing.
Girls Inc. of Franklin won a $10,000 impact grant at the Pay It Forward Johnson County annual golf outing.
The golf outing is an annual event at The Legends Golf Club that raises money for local charities.
Tara Treatment Center, Abuse Counseling and Education Inc., Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, Youth Connections of Johnson County, Haven Sanctuary for Women and Flags for Greenwood were selected to receive $2,500 each.
Thirty-one nonprofit organizations applied to be in a drawing that distributes the money.Â
Girls Inc. will use the money for an upcoming capital campaign.
