FRANKLIN
The Rev. Leland L. Brett, 90, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at the Franklin United Methodist Community.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel M. (Colgan) Sumwalt Brett of Franklin, sons Kenton F. Brett (Perian) of Indianapolis, Kelvin Brett of Bruceton, Tennessee; five grandchildren; stepsons, Samuel G. Sumwalt (Cheryl) of Covington, Louisiana, Thomas E. Sumwalt (Eileen) of Winter Haven, Florida, and James E. Sumwalt of Mexico City, Mexico; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Jenothy Rather will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Franklin United Methodist Community Wright Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Wright Chapel. A graveside service will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington.
