Nurse selected by Colts as Anthem Angels honoree

Daily Journal staff reports

Talk about going in style.

Suzie Hedrick, a Nineveh resident and pediatric dialysis nurse at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, has been selected as 2015 honoree of the Colts Anthem Angels program.

As a reward, she has received four VIP Club Seat Tickets in Lucas Oil Stadium for tonight’s Indianapolis Colts game against the New York Jets.

In addition, she will be featured in a story in the Colts’ gameday magazine, which is distributed to fans every home game.

Hedrick has been a Riley nurse for 15 years. She was selected this week’s Anthem Angel for her work in planning and organizing a Kidney Camp for kids ages 8 to 18 who are either on dialysis, have a kidney disease or have had a kidney transplant.

The camp is free and provides medical supervision for kids who normally would not be able to take part in a summer camp because of their dialysis needs.
