Patricia A. McCourt, 83, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at her residence in New Whiteland.

Born March 24, 1932, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel (Lawyer) Rogers.

She graduated from West Catholic Girls High School in 1950 and married Emory Matthew McCourt Jr. on April 18, 1953, in Philadelphia.

Patricia was a homemaker.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, where she volunteered as secretary. She was president of St. Vincent de Paul in Johnson County. She gave Communion at Regency Place and also volunteered at St. Elizabeth Home in Beech Grove.

She is survived by four sons, Emory Matthew (Sharon) McCourt, Gregory McCourt, Charles (Letty) McCourt and Kenneth (Janna) McCourt; three daughters, Catherine (Dennis) Duke, Mary (Anthony) Collilouri and Margaret (David) Futrell; a sister, Frances Nutting; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Charles, Donald and Thomas Rogers; a sister, Josephine Tallant; a grandson, Michael Randolph McCourt; and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Louise Wiley McCourt.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S. Meridian St. in Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Funeral Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
