Man in critical condition after motorcycle crash

A man is in critical condition after his motorcycle crashed into a pile of wood.

Zackery Groover, 24, Franklin, was driving a motorcycle on private property in Trafalgar on Monday when the crash happened, according to a police report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses told police Groover was riding the motorcycle down a dirt path off County Road 675W and was spinning the rear tire of the bike, the report said.

Groover then lost control and fell off the bike. Both he and the bike hit a stack of logs, according to the police report.

Groover sustained a head injury. He was taken by medical helicopter to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was listed in critical condition Tuesday.
