We all scream for … square dancing?

What better way to spend a Sunday evening than learning to dance and eating ice cream afterward?

A Seymour dance group is bringing just such an event to locals this month. The public is welcome.

The Star Promenaders, an area organization of square dancing enthusiasts, is inviting everyone to a session called “Into to Modern Western Square Dancing.”

The class will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Seymour Community Center, 107 S. Chestnut St., Seymour.

The group will teach several square dance calls and demonstrate the moves. No partner is required. Attire for the event is casual.

The evening will end with free ice cream sundaes for everyone.

If you have any questions, call Marvin or Linda Rumph at 812-445-3610 or Danny and Julie Branham at 812-346-6164.
