Wallet taken from hospital employee

Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying two women who are suspected of stealing a wallet from a hospital employee’s purse and racking up charges.

The Johnson Memorial Hospital employee noticed her wallet was missing out of her bag in her office and called the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Her bank already had called to alert her of an unusual charge of more than $326 at the Target store in Columbus, the report said.

Her driver’s license, insurance cards, credit cards and cash were taken, the report said.

Detectives have surveillance photos of two suspects leaving the Target store and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the women.

The wallet was taken Aug. 27.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at 736-5155.
