Get taste of farm life during festival

A festival next weekend will showcase one of the Hoosier state’s chief industries, giving visitors a hands-on look at where many products eaten around the world come from and how they’re produced.

The first Johnson County Farm Festival Event is slated for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 12 and noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Johnson County fairgrounds in Franklin.

The event is free and open to the public.

Visitors of all ages can talk to farmers and view farm equipment and animals, checking out the modern processes for growing grain, produce and livestock.
