Virginia M. Van Camp-Stucker

MORGANTOWN

Virginia M. Van Camp-Stucker, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Aug. 30, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was a resident of Morgantown.

Virginia was born in Indianapolis on Jan. 20, 1928, to her parents, the late Oren R. and Mable G. (Cantrell) Van Camp.

She married Dennis W. Stucker on Oct. 27, 1967, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2008.

She retired in 2003 as the kitchen manager of the Indiana FFA Leadership Center in Trafalgar after 14 years of service. Prior to that, she worked as an assembly worker for Texscan and RCA, both of Indianapolis.

Virginia was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Indianapolis and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. While traveling, she enjoyed camping, fishing and visiting gambling boats. She was a fan of movies and game shows.

She is survived by her children, Margie G. (Milford) Burress of Greenwood, Sandy R. (Jim) Thomas of Morristown and Sally J. Richardson of Greenfield; siblings, Raymond O. (Charlee) Van Camp of Whitestown and Cliff L. (Donna) Van Camp of St. Cloud, Florida; grandchildren, Heather Richardson, Mark and Mike Cochran, Tracy Tyree and Mike Burress; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
