Hearts & Darts – August 31

Hearts

  • Hearts to Caroline, Winston, Theo and Truman Houk for choosing to give rather than receive on their birthdays. They asked for food donations to the Center Grove Alternative Academy’s CARE Pantry rather than birthday gifts! Thank you for your young and giving hearts!

  • Many, many huge hearts to my daughter, Michele Eads, and to my granddaughter, Maci Eads, for being so helpful to me in so many ways. I love you both. God bless you both and God bless America

Franklin

  • I wish that anyone considering a move to Franklin could have been downtown on Aug. 22 night for the Beer and Bluegrass evening. The warmth and vibrancy of our city was highlighted in so many ways. The event was well-organized and the planners obviously anticipated the needs of guests in each venue. The crowds were smiling and genial. Great food (and beverages), an interesting classic car show, and entertaining music; the evening had something for everyone. Kudos to the Discover Downtown Franklin volunteers!

Anne Young

Morgantown

  • Hearts to the students of Franklin Community High School cheer block. On Aug. 21 at the football game the six members of the Hall of Fame were introduced at halftime. Hearts go to these students for their behavior, respect and politeness. They stood quietly, listened, clapped and cheered at the proper time as each recipient was announced. They represented Franklin Community High School well.
