Letter: Critics attempting to be rid of public education

To the editor:

I have been reading that there is a shortage of public school teachers.

As a family of teachers, we knew this was coming. There is an element in control of education who are deliberately attempting to be rid of public education, one of the foundations of our country. Many of you know of the cruel way they treated and demoted Glenda Ritz. Talk to any teacher acquaintance and hear their story.

I have asked a school superintendent if our supposition was right. He told me that I was absolutely right and he and teachers were fighting it and they would win!

I am not sure you can win when your opposition does a lot of cheating on paper to make them look good.
