INDIANAPOLIS
Edith C. Hudson, 86, of Indianapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015.
Edith was born in Millerstown, Kentucky, on Sept. 23, 1928, to Albert and Sissie (Logsdon) Kessinger.
She worked as a secretary for Chevrolet for many years and also worked for Greenwood schools.
She was a charter member of Northern Park Baptist Church and a member of Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 159 in Greenwood.
She loved to do crossword puzzles, crochet and spend time with her loving family.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Edith married James Hudson in Greenwood, and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1997. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Edith is survived by her son, James (Emily) Hudson of Bargersville; daughters, Jackie (James) Short of Indianapolis, Penny (James) Lutrell of Greenwood, Wynona (John) Brown of Marshall, Illinois, and Marlene (Gary) Marsh of New Whiteland; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at noon Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Northern Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 598 N Meridian St., Greenwood.
