Mallow Run Winery in Bargersville is gearing up to welcome the fall season’s cooler temperatures and autumn colors with live music, food and special events. Here’s what’s coming up:
Aug. 29, Sept. 12: Picnic concert on the lawn, 5 to 9 p.m.
The winery will host food truck vendors in addition to wine offerings. The Blue River band will perform from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 29, and Backcountry Road will perform from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 12
Aug. 30, Sept. 20, Sept. 27: Sundays on the Patio, 2 to 5 p.m.
Enjoy a relaxing, laid-back Sunday afternoon on the patio with wine, summer snacks and live music by Reno Convention on Aug. 30, Davis & Devitt on Sept. 20 and Acoustic Catfish on Sept. 27.
Sept. 5-7: Labor Day Weekend Anniversary Hog Roast Celebration, noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 5, noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 6-7
A hog roast will mark Mallow Run’s 10th anniversary. The weekend will feature slow-roasted pork and sides, plus live music and a fireworks finale on Saturday.
Saturday music: Southern Siren (1-4 p.m.), Tastes Like Chicken (5:30-8:30 p.m.); Sunday music: The Mamadrones (2-5 p.m.); Monday music: The Wilsons (2-5 p.m.)
Sept. 11: Friday Flicks on the Lawn: “Field of Dreams,” 8 p.m.
Bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets, grab some popcorn and wine, and enjoy a classic movie under the stars. Film is shown on a large outdoor screen on the lawn. Parking: $10 per car. Wine, popcorn, hot dogs, candy and other snacks available for purchase at The Shack. No pets or tents allowed.
Sept. 13, Labapolooza, 2 to 5 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon of adorable pups, live music, food and wine. Visit lolin.org/labapalooza.shtml for more information, including the full list of bands performing. Cooper, the winery dog, can’t wait to hang out with all his rescue friends.
Sept. 19: American English, 7 p.m.
Beatles tribute band will be in concert on the lawn. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the show. Tickets available online, in the tasting room or by calling 422-1556. Check the website for more concert information.
Sept. 26: Pizza & Wine Night, 5 to 9 p.m.
Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets to spread out on the lawn, and enjoy pizza by the slice with wine while listening to live local music by Bigg Country from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. evening with family and friends.
The winery is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Admission is free to all events unless otherwise noted. Complimentary wine tasting is available in the tasting room until 9 p.m. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. All outside alcohol prohibited by Indiana law.
