Man injured in motorcycle accident

A motorcyclist was taken to an Indianapolis hospital with head and leg injuries after an accident off Tracy Road.

Robert E. Myrick, 37, Indianapolis, was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital with a possible broken leg and cuts to his head and legs, according to the accident report.

The accident happened just after 9 a.m. Monday on County Road 250E, just north of Tracy Road, which is east of New Whiteland, the report said.

A witness told police Myrick lost control after the motorcycle’s back end lifted up. The motorcycle began to tumble and roll after driving on the front tire for several feet, the report said.

The witness said he did not know how fast the motorcycle was traveling.

Myrick was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital in Indianapolis. His condition was not available Monday afternoon.
