Honey Creek United Methodist Church, 2722 S. Honey Creek Road, Greenwood, will offer an evening meal on Aug. 29.

The dinner will be 5 to 7 p.m.

The public is invited. There is no charge but offerings will be accepted.

Benedict Inn Retreat & Conference Center, 1402 Southern Ave., Beech Grove, will host a four-session program about the historical causes for Christian disunity with Father Matthias Neuman, beginning Sept. 8.

The program will explore Vatican II’s landmark document on ecumenism. Its positive positions opened a new era of cooperation among Christian churches.

The program will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays Sept. 8 through 29 The fee is $15 per session.
