A girl who was home alone called police after a group of men stopped at her house and repeatedly knocked on the door.
The girl told police the men were looking at a mower in the driveway of the home in the 6900 block of Greensburg Road, southeast of Franklin, put down their truck bed and got out ramps but then left, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stopped a vehicle that matched the description of the one that stopped at the home. The driver told police he had gotten lost and was turning around, the report said.
Ryan K. Pitzer, 29, 7410 Creston Drive, Indianapolis, was arrested on an unrelated warrant from Marion County for fraud and theft charges, the report said.
Police ask that residents call to report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
